I went back to the old park in the woods on Sunday with my dad, my brother (Bootstrap) and our buddy Dan. Dan and Bootstrap already posted thier finds including my brother's Saber! What an awesome find! Anyway, this is what I found on Sunday. 4 more V-nickels, 4 more IHP's, a 1909 wheatie, an 1891 canadian dime and a really nice 10k gold ring! One of the V-nickels is a semi-key date, 1894! My dad found a canadian large cent dated 1876 and an IHP. This spot has been amazing! Everything we have found has been old. These are MY totals from 2 trips to this site:

6 V-nickels
10 IHP's
2 early wheaties
2 barber dimes
1 canadian dime(1891)
1 GOLD RING!!!!

I can't wait to go back!!

Did you by chance encounter many old tin can fragments?

Yes, How did you know that?

Great looking finds Fr3nchy27, you've got to let me in on that spot. Charlie :hello2: :hello:

Those are some very nice keepers. Great job. There has got to be more where those came from!

Very nice! How big of an area was this park? I know they varied back then, just curious if you guys are just working over a small area or if it was larger. Keep at it!

This park was huge. Of course it is all grown up now, but it used to host up to 10,000 people on the weekends back in the late 1800's early 1900's. We have found old coins spread out all over.

Great finds i remember how jealous i was hearing you over the walkie talkie saying "got another V nickel", got another indian head!, lol and all i dug was a ton of bullet shells and finally a buffalo nickel! Great finds again, i can't wait to go back either....this time the White will out perform those Fisher's!!! HAHA Happy Hunting!
