My father and I finally obtained permission to detect a house we have been
watching for a couple of years now.......and TODAY we got the chance to go.

Not a bad day.. Dad found a '46 Rosie, a wheatie and several new coins
(he actually found more than I did almost 2 to 1 in new coins) and
other fun stuff!

Myself, not a bad day. Nice little gold ring, couple of wheaties,
several of those shotgun shells hulls I always find, a neat old Dairy
Token good for one quart of milk from Wm Druegemiller of Springfield Missouri (cant find any
info online about that one.. need some help) couple of 50's era wheaties and an
18?8 Indian Head Penny, 1941 Nickel and not too far from the IH Penny
was an lead Indian figurine.. and lots of new change..

FYI...Dad and I hit this yard with our DFX's, we used our stock coils,
a 12 searcher and our Bigfoots... We had to pull out a lot of junk
(see pic) to find what we did and this was just part of it (pull tabs,
iron, bottlecaps, copper tubing, ect).

So if you are digging junk with your machine.... so are WE! I know a lot of people think that experienced guys may not dig junk but we always seem to come up with lots of it.... granted, most of the time we know it has a good chance of being junk but sometimes its not and several times I dug "questionable" (either tone was poor but good VDI and Graph or good tone but bad Graph, ect) targets and came out with something nice.... if in doubt..... DIG IT!

Hope everyone else is getting a chance to dig!

very nice finds and silver to congrats

Very cool finds.....I am wondering if that token of the Druegemiller is now Droegmiller ....lots of history on the Droegmillers and they had creameries as well as Henry Droegmiller being president of Farmers Hatchery and Exchange and a former president and member of the board of directors of the Farmer Cooperative Creamery. He was also a charter member of the Jo Daviess County Farm Bureau

Nice find's LTP......I think Gypsy is right,it look's like a rust spot on the top of the "O" possibly making it a "U"......Congrat's to ya and the 417, HH!!

You two had a great hunt! Super variety of keepers! Congrats!

Nana :)
