I got 4 boxes from my bank, 3 of 4 skunks so far. But the thing that is bugging me is the hundreds and hundreds of 2000 P Kennedy's. every single roll has at least 5 2000 P's, all in unc condition.
Finally in the 3rd box I got two entire rolls of 2000P's Someone must have dumped some boxes or bags of 2000's in a counter or gave them to the armored car company

Also an octagonal 50 Pence piece from England 20230618_185150.webp20230618_185106.webp20230611_132428.webp

Ben,

The same thing happened to me in May, 2022

See link

Given that we're only 25 or so miles apart might indicate that we're victims of the same mega-dump.

Neat 50 pence. I do not enjoy boxes full of uncirculated rolls/coins! Mainly just want silver

I have often wondered that upon production of some if not all coins some are set "aside" to be released at a later date upon demand / need.
I am not sure that every and ALL coins produced in a given year are / is immediately put into circulation.
Perhaps 3.5 million WERE made... but only 3.2 million released and the others kept back for some sort of change "backup" system going on and released later when demand is higher or some other reason.
Who knows... just a thought.
But ?
I have never researched and perhaps someone here already knows if this is or could be the case.

To continue the saga, this week's (skunk) box featured a large number (at least 100, maybe 150) of these uncirculated 2000P halves; however, someone had decided to 'decorate' the eagle's head on these coins with a black marker.

They may be 'coming soon to a box near you'.

I can feel your pain brother. I do 3 boxes a week. Several weeks ago for 2 weeks 1 of the 3 boxes contained at least 25% of 2021 P & 2022P half dollars.
Good Luck & Keep Hunting
