Detector(s) used
Current: Black Vaquero w 5.75" Con & 11x8 RSD, Compadre 8" Donut, T2 w 11"DD, Ace 300i w 7x10", Vanquish 440 w V10, & Simplex+ SP28.
Past: Whites 4000D Ser 3 w 8" Con, Radio Shack 3001 Micronta 18Khz.
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
If given the option on the detector you chose what would be your 3 perfect coil option(s) match up for your detector. You can give a couple of options that you would like to see Tesoro come out with and depending on your soil conditions and seperation to junk and treasure as well.

Vaq

Option 1

1. Stock 11x8" DD
2. 5.75" Concentric
3. 8" Donut

Option 2

1. 10" widescan eliptical
2. 5.7"' concentric
3. 8" Donut

7" what would the difference be between 5.75 or 8" donut? Not much I think..and no fuss but I think the Donut for me as targeting just would feel better and would recover more I think with the 8" becuase I am quicker at recovering objects visually going to the next.

4 pin vaq:
11x8
5.75 concentric
10WS elliptical

This is actually what I have. Covers all my bases. I have the 9x8 that came on it too

5pin outlaw:

11x8
8" donut
7" precision concentric

If I was to buy new again. I have all these plus more but that answers your question I hope lol

Yeah it does you were thinking under same lines as me, betcha some will choose just the two though the 11x8 and the 5.75 is all they need, maybe me too, will see this year. If you were to take the 11x8 and cross it between the 5.75 it would obviously be the 10" elliptical. :laughing7:

Nice match up by the way Stefan!

The key, for me, is to have both double d and concentric coils. I love the 11x8-inch DD; 8" concentic; and 5" DD. :occasion14:

Never tried the 5.75 DD Terry. But now I'm interested.
Ugh I need a whole room just for metal detecting.

Say a cool video about a guy that got harbor freight hose hangers and bent them in a bit and screwed them into a 1x6 or 1x8 and hung them by the arm cuffs and rear control boxes.
Gonna need that and one just for coils

Outlaw:
5.75 in
8 in Donut
12x10 Concentric

my world order..

?.Ugh I need a whole room just for metal detecting..

Good thing you don't collect anything bigger...

The 5.75 Widescan works well in trash, but can make bottlecaps sound too much like coins. Disc doesn't work as well with it as with the concentric.

These are listed pretty much in the order I use 'em most, though the 7 concentric is new -

5 pin:

5.75 concentric
7 concentric
8 concentric

4 pin:

5.75 concentric
5.75 Widescan
11x8 Widescan

4 pin Vaq and Tejon

5.75 concentric (best in carpet of nails)
10 in elliptical (tight and moderately deep in moderate trash)
11 × 8 rsd (best and deepest in open pasture)

5 pin Bandido2 micromax and Mojave

7 in precision and 5.75 concentric in heavy trash.

I've never ran one, but that 3x18 is calling my name haha. Wish they still made the 4 pin version. But the 5 nowadays is alot lighter than they used to be I guess

From the lessons I've learned, buy a Tesoro with the 11x8RSD and add a 5.75 concentric for coin shooting.

Run away as fast as you can from any of the overseas coils, they're junk imho.
