I went to a elementary school to day in Spokane for about half an hour and fond nothing but 65 cents clad.

Yeah it seems like i never find anything cool i was at the school for a couple hours hitting clad tring to get a feel for the garrett 150 i pulled up alot of pennies and quarters as well as a fake silver plated ring. I liked that my new spot has very little slaw i hit alot of good targets that i didnt dig mostly because i dont have a pin pointer makes using the 150 rather difficult when trying to find a targets exact location esp in this heavy mineralized soil we have here in warshington lol

Hello May I ask where in Washington ?

Dusty

welcome to tnet!

I live in Olympia so when you are ever down here let me know.:icon_thumright:

I continue to find plenty of clad at a local elementary school here in lakewood. Found a wheat at another Im still working. Hopefully I'll find my first silver dime!

first silver dime I have found was a 1940 mercury it worn pretty good but seems like older silver is pretty rare around here I think it has to do with our soil being so wet that the coins and relics sink down in the soil im not sure either that or Washington has been hit hard in the past by other detectors

Nice finds, welcome and good luck in the future.

Welcome to the net. I was born and raised over the hill at Lake Chelan. Lord I wish I was back up there with my detector!! I remember places I played that I would bet a million dollars have never been worked. But alas. I now live in the sunny state of Florida where I live just nine miles from miles of Atlantic Ocean beaches. Eat you heart out. Come on down. Still have three kids that live in the Seattle area. Good hunting. .

you've got to get a pin pointer. Saves loads of time having to root around in the muddy soil. :)
