IMG_1876.webp These came out of the salt water yesterday, all within 100 feet of each other. I've found mostly complete toys and banged up parts, a few decent ones but never three in one day. Those are "V" nickels that were in the same 100' area, they are pretty washed out but with a magnifying glass I was able to see the dates, 1904, 10 & 11. I have to think the toys are from the same era. In that time there was a small pier in front of a hotel that is long gone.

Here are a few more I've had for awhile. the one on the bottom is a whistle that you had to put your finger over the open end while blowing into it to make it work, it had a bird attached to it that broke off when I had it in my pouch. There are more someplace I just cant find them.IMG_1880.webp

Those are amazing! Congrats on such great finds!

Very well done. Those V nickels look better than many I have dug out of the ground.

Congrats on some very nice finds!

Nice sweep, great work!

The old toys like those are hard to find in good condition from the ground. It's nice to see them looking good and coming out of water. Those are well before my time, but I still get nostalgic when I find one.

Very cool! Congrats! :icon_thumleft:

I've seen a catalog of these type of toys made for collectors, its never ending and is as big as a telephone book. You wouldn't believe all the different toys, some don't look like a toy like a small plate that looked like a dolls toy more than a CJ toy. There were what he called "Premium" toys like whistles, water pistols or rings and more. Metal toys made of lead, tin seem to be the oldest. Imagine how many kids ate the heads off of them.

love'm - I have not found the dog yet - have cycle like yours in great shape
minewas also found in area there was a salt water pier :icon_thumleft:

The Cracker Jack toys are really cool. Those toys were deemed choking hazards which led to lawsuits and the discontinuance of metal toys. Today the Cracker Jack toys are made of paper.

I have to find other toys and post them on this thread. I know I have at least 2 pistols in pretty good condition that I found awhile ago in another state.

Very cool finds, congrats! :occasion14:
