All the dimes I got today had that "frying pan" signal LOL

Dang frying pan, maybe I will make it my new Avatar ::)

NOT A BAD HAUL, ;D

Fossis...............................

between the rains and all, thats a good find!

Nice Stormtrooper... I got excited about the ring too 'till I saw it was fake... :D

Good day out...

Nice stacks and very nice camera work. That 'bama penny is uber cool, I didn't know anything like that existed. Hey, how did you clean that penny? The often soggy soil here in Seattle is really rough on coins.

Nice set of finds storm, an excellent pics as well
congrats on your finds

Eddy

Storm,
Great post & pictures. Looks like a stack of chips in Vegas! I like that penny. Never seen one before.
Where those really made like that?

Nice finds, really like the jewelry, i'm like everyone else, where did the bama coin come from?

I am not sure who makes the coins....but they are not done by the mint. I have seen a few different states engraved on pennies before, but this is the first time I have found one ;D

I found this on the net..."They were sold as novelty pieces for 50 cents to a dollar each"

As for cleaning the coins up for the picture...The pictures were taken right after I give them a little bath to get the dirt off them. Once the pictures are taken, off to the tumbler they go. Then if I find something cool, it gets a 2nd picture after tumbling for you guys and gal to see. Any rare or older coins do not get tumbled. They get a bath and go straight into 2x2's.

The soil here in Oregon does the same thing :'(
The Bama penny was found just like it is in the picture.

I used to live in Puyallup,WA It's some hard digging up there with all the river rock everywhere!
