You are right! However, I may have made a nickel breakthrough. I use the White's XLT and have been working on the nickel tones for some time. I thought I had it pretty good and of course started finding more nickels. Then I sent my detector back for service and they gave it a good overhaul including the newer model 9.5 loop. To make a long story short, with the new loop the nickels ring true enough to clue me into giving them a second look. I dig 3-4 tabs for each one, but I'll take it! H Digs!

The two chiefs are amazingly clean with no signs of any pitting or corrosion. Were they found encased in plastic?
If not, how did you clean them?
