So this may not be super exciting to all but was able to get out today to some hiking trails behind my house for another round of learning my metal detector. Flagstaff is awesome Ive driven through I 17 many times I would Love to detect around there. Georgious scenery good luck with learning your new detector Im in Michigan frozen country
 
I thought the large hoop thing might be something good, until I spotted the modern type of fastener nut at the bottom. I think it is part of a car hood latch loop or trunk latch loop


Also found my first pull tab!
Mr Keebler from the Stealth Diggers, calls those "the evil one". I find myself thinking what he says, when I dig one on a very old site :)
 
Im from Howell, Michigan myself. Moved out to these parts 4-5 years ago :) It seems like it should be pretty fun out here, ground still is a bit hard in some areas though.

And ya CT looks like just a piece of crap... Speaking of which, what is usually done with this stuff? Just chuck it into my trash bin?
