So my brother and I got back out today, cause a big storm is supposed to roll in this week and we wanted to get another chance to metal detect before it hit. We returned to the field where we found the mercury dime yesterday and managed to find 3 quarters, 4 dimes, 1 nickel, 9 pennies (3 are wheats) and other such odds and ends. The years on the wheats are 1944 s, 1956 d, and 1958 d. It was nice to get out, and the rain just began to come down hard as we were leaving. Anyways another fun day metal detecting, hope you have a good one. Oh by the way, what do you think the thing in the last 3 pictures is? I believe it is a yamaka(like jewish headwear) but I'm not sure. It is made out of cloth, and has some illegible writing on one side. Also there is a metal pin to adjust the side of it on the back, thats how I found it. Any info is much appreciated, thanks for looking

I think its a dust mask. Good job on the other finds. 8)

nice wheaties dude! Yeah it looks like rain/show mix over at my place?? :icon_scratch: Maybe I'm just crazy. The stress of homework and all has been really getting to me. I've been waking up at the middle of the night and hearing voices downstairs and when nothing is there when I come down. lol

I found 4 today, good job

Dust mask it is ??? Nice finds on the wheats . Keeping pounding the area and maybe silver will appear ::)

Nice finds guys. A mask? Could be a Jewish metal detecting hat.

"This tradition came from an even older Talmudic verse that a mother saved her son from becoming a thief by making him cover his head, making him aware of a presence "over him" i.e. to "fear" God."

I think "fear" is better translated as, "awe", or "respect".
