The weather is pretty cold here, but the grass keeps the ground from freezing, so Monday I hit one of the local parks. Only found clad, a toy, a tiny carabiner, some 45 Long Colt brass, a navy midshipmans pin, an Aussie coin and a junk ring.
I had about an hour to kill Wednesday, so I hit another park. Only found clad, a Mexican coin, a junk earring and a junk bracelet.
Today I had a couple hours free and the sun's been out enough where I thought I could dig in the dirt, so I hit an old railroad siding area just a little ways out of town. Found some cool old junk, including a "Nevada Novelty Co" 25c token. I looked up the token and it appears it is from 1898 and was used as a gaming token at a downtown Reno casino.
So I'm in a bit of a slump for finding gold, but still having fun out there, despite the crummy weather.
Thanks for coming by and taking a peak!
