Today I have captured my 300th. This has given me an average of 100 40%ers a month since starting 7/1. Now if I can get 100 90%ers by the end of next month, that would be epic! Count for 90%ers is at 70. Of course I have gotten very lucky, but now my volume is high enough to average 100 40%ers a month now.

Good job! :icon_thumleft: Kinda gald I sold 150 of them about a month ago now, put the cash into my CRH fund. Wish you luck on the 100 90%'s

congrats on your finds....but..yes theres always a but

I disagree with your statement of

but now my volume is high enough to average 100 40%ers a month now

You know you have no way to know this. It's a shake of the dice everytime. I'm not ripping on you, I'm one of the biggest volume guys there is. but I also know you have gotten some big scores which are great! but they don't count in statistics, they are called outliers.

Focus on volume, which i know you are, not how much you plan to get for the month....you are only limiting yourself that way.

With volume the sky is the limit.....the rest is up to God and your willpower to face the stack of boxes to carry in the house and the dump tellers !!! :headbang:

I agree with Bigheed, but with 1 addition. I know everyone here preaches volume, but I like to add 1 more thing in, diversification. I think it's just as important as volume. I like to order from at least 4-5 different banks, not just different branches of the same bank. This way you pull from different supplies.

Obviously your logic still makes some sense, the more volume the better your odds.

Just out of curiosity, what is your volume up to?

12 - 16 boxes a week diversified with boxes from Strings, Brinks, and Garda

ya db23 I didn't mention that but you are right!

I know some people don't believe it here but in big cities the bank chains do not co-mingle coins.....can't be proven for small areas, but

I've talked to Operation managers at sorting houses for multiple major processors and they do NOT co-mingle halves from chain to chain.

Branches within a single chain will be supplied from the same district center sure. Also does not control how many people dump on your supply bank, and theres no real way to know how much volume of halves there is sitting in the warehouse of the supply processing center cash vault for each bank chain.

But just like stocks, diversifying is a good idea!
