This is a new one on me. I can't recall ever seeing something marked 333 for 8 Kt gold. This is my first 8kt and my first gold at Goodwill ($5)in a while. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1501263711.215831.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1501263727.951204.webp

Cool. They prob didnt know what it was.

Kinda cool.

I have personally never seen it either.

Test it ?

Errr...

I meant to say... did you TRY to test it... to see what it does...IE: Reacts... on 14 and 10 ?

I've got some 333 gold earrings marked exactly the same I believe.

I did test it and the 10kt acid did not fully dissolve the touch mark. Interesting for sure. It ended up weighing 1.2 g.

9ct is still considered gold in Europe. I list items as 9ct Solid Gold if I'm selling globally.

Yes it's gold in Europe..but it's KT for karats in gold and Ct for carats in gems.

Read up on marks in Britain. They did/do indeed use ct for gold.

Here is an example of English using ct for gold. This is a ring I found.

I don't know about gold rules with the rest of the world, but these earrings I have with an alloy of 33.3% sure look like gold to me.

Even gold Filled is technically real gold. We are splitting hairs. Just a US regulation that 10kt is the minimum standard for gold.
