4 Leaf Clover yeilds copper...

Unfortunately, it's only a 1974, which seems odd to me since it was 7.5 in. deep. This is the first time I've scanned this new site I've found. There is nothing there now, but an old shed, perhaps 50 - 60 years old. I think there may have been a house on it at one time due to the arrangement of some old trees that seem out of place for their location. You all are schoolin' me, cause I went to the library and checked out some books about the history of the town I live in, and found that there were a few early homes built along this creek in the early 1800s. It may take me years to dig up all the junk around this site, but I can only hope it is an actual home site and that they forgot about a stash box or something.

So right near the 4 leaf clover I got a solid hit that didn't seem to read right on the display, but dug it anyway and got the penny. This would be my first coin found outside of my own yard, and makes the 3rd penny I've found. Oh well, the journey continues!

Hey, Bug, all of that stuff looks very familiar to me. It's funny how some things sink fast and some stay near the surface...usually the cans sink fast.

Good luck locating the home sites...you'll know when you hit all the nail signals.

Don't let it burn you out on just one site,If you have permission take a couple day's off here and there and hit it when you can.If you got the feeling that there was a house there time and patience will prevail.You're on your way to some great find's by the look's of it already....Keep diggin' and HH!!
