Well I was sitting around this morning and noticed it was not raining like the weather report said. Dang college edumacated meteorologists. So I said enough sitting around, let's get back to the gravy train and pull some silver and wheats like it's 1982!
The wheaties were not coming up as fast as before, but the silver was popping out like Orville Redenbacher! Got a silver ring right off the bat just like before, and then two dimes and finally another George! Later I came back when my Dad finally got a chance to get out for 90 minutes and pulled a bunch more wheats and another dime. Ended up with 14 wheaties, mostly 40's. 3 of my wheaties today came from a different place. So between my Dad and I, we pulled 45 wheaties, 1 buffalo nick, 8 silver coins, and 2 sterling rings from one small area. There's definitely more ground to cover too!!!
This brings me up to 60 silver for the year... woohoo! 75 doesn't seem so far away now.
I also got another piece of a pocket watch that got wacked by a lawn mower. Too bad to because it's got a nice fishing scene on the bezel face.
I wish they could all be this good, but unfortunately we have to work hard to get silver these days. This just happened to be a virgin site. I seriously doubt anyone has hunted it before. There is only a small section of turf that's not filled, otherwise the rest of the place would be killer.
Enjoy the pics!
