Detector(s) used
E-Trac, Explorer II, Excalibur
Spent 5 hours at my favorite park / campground yesterday, and man am I sore. Had a good day detecting though. I knew it was going to be a good day because one of the first things I found was a smiley face screwcap :)

First a couple of pictures of the redwoods that I was detecting around, and a little critter that was in one of my find holes...

And here is a pic of the total haul for the day, less the big trash items like soda cans, can lids, etc...

I love it when I get a really high pitched tone on the Explorer II, and I see that the crosshairs on the smartfind screen are in the upper rightmost edge of the screen. Well, I got one of these signals about mid-way into my hunt, and here's what I pulled out...

And after a gentle wipe...

About ten minutes later, I pulled this one out...

The first snake I saw was the one on this small pin, which is hard to make out due to the corrosion...

Later in the day, I saw the second snake - here it is next to the three silver coins I found...

Finally, here is a pic of all the coins I found, and the other keeper items...

I didn't even notice the date on the pin. I am sure this is a relatively new souvenier pin that is commemorating the 1910 Oakland A's.

Thanks for the comment!!

I noticed a wheaty pennie there, some are worth a lot of money, depending on the date so clean it carefully and check it out in the book !
You can also check them online also.
Good finds ! LOL ! Robin

very nice job on the silver! :) That silver ring is too cool! :)

That's a great looking spot!

Nice finds, I really like the ring. Does the whistle say anything on it? Some of em can be Worth some money.

Thanks! The whistle says "Gloria" and "JAPAN" on the top. It appears to be missing the ring or loop that would have attached to a chain or lanyard or something.

Those are some great finds, I really like the ring and the Oakland pin. The silver is, as always, SWEET!

Awesome pictures, nice silver, and real cool serpents. They have lots of meaning all through history and time. Could mean anything from a new guardian to the bringer of death. Lets just hope you made a new friend instead of the death part.

Here is a link about serpents,

Keep @ it and HH!!
