The duck/goose band can be registered if you care to report it. Some come with a reward but I'm not sure if your band is eligible or not. You can get info about the species of bird tagged, when and where. Here's info on how to report it:

Great duck band find Trap! The band says write "Washington" as in Washington DC...
the band can still be reported through report band (.gov) They will email all the information about the duck. I would be interested to hear the results!
