I have only searched dimes once, and when I was done, my eyes and my neck were so strained, that I haven't done it since, lol. It is a very tedious chore, however, most people do not search dimes and I think the potential for finding silver is good. Oh, and I did find one silver dime in the search, a 1959. Good luck
