40 rolls of pennies.....

2,000 pennies yielded exactly 250 coppers today. 2 dimes were in the mix, not one wheat or Canadian cent. My son and I each did 20 rolls. About 6 rolls had no coppers at all.

Yikes... that seems like a low total of coppers- you may have to start weighing the 82s.

I wish that my father had gotten me started on coins like that. That is a pretty cool hobby to share.

I thought it was a rather low number of coppers as well. If I had a scale, I'd weigh the 82's. Maybe they have been taking them out of circulation already?

Holy moly Scott....that is a load of pennies. Looking on the bright side....even though it was a low count of pre 82's you still came out with 5 rolls. Congrats!

Wow I'm surprised there were no wheaties or Canadian pennies. I haven't been saving the copper pennies, but you and your son pulled a nice amount of them. Better luck on your next batch,hope you find some wheaties and Canadian pennies.
