So there I was at the schoolyard, having the BEST clad-streak ever, when I get a weird jumpy signal that sounds suspiciously like can-slaw. Not wanting to turn down the opportunity to add another dozen or so pieces of shredded dirt-caked aluminum to my collection, I dug the target eagerly. When I turned the plug over, this popped out:

DAMN! There goes my all-clad day. Do you know how hard it is to keep a clad streak going with the Equinox 800? It's not easy.

Begrudgingly, I took the bracelet home anyway. Marked .925 on the inside of the heart (barely, because the 20 individual chains on each side have been rubbing against it for decades), it cleaned up quite nicely. I threw it on the scale and it weighs over an ounce:

So yeah, gotta love the 1980's! I'm assuming that's where this piece is from. Sure seems like the 80's to me, although I could be wrong. Anyone ever see this one before?

Right after this target I dug a couple of foot-deep memorial pennies, so my clad streak is going strong again. Just in case any of you were worried. :tongue3:

sometimes it is what it is! Gotta love those surprises like that!

Nice way to break up the day. That's a cool Silver bracelet right there. You mentioned digging the 12" memorials....I always wonder how those pennies got that deep. Crazy how stuff sinks. Congrats on your surprise.

Nice chunk o silver

I always wonder how those pennies got that deep. Crazy how stuff sinks.

I swear, I dug a 14" coin yesterday and brushed off the date... 1976. I muttered "you're welcome" before slipping it into my pocket. I used to think those coins would be all excited to be back in circulation, you know? See some sunlight. Breathe some fresh air.

Now I realize they're probably sorely disappointed. "This is 2019?! Where are all the flying cars! Have we landed on Mars yet? What does the moon colony look like!?"

Ugh. As a coin, I'd rather stay buried.

Be careful what you wish for.........you just may end up on an endless clad streak! :laughing7:

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

I know how you could have kept your streak going shakakka. But now you blabbed it all over TNet... RATS!

Generally, I throw those distractions back. But OK, yeah, pretty nice. What? An ounce of .925! Congrats.

Tough break, Better luck next time - Bahaha

Damn I hate when that happens!!

Ill trade you some clad for it so you can have an all clad day lol Thats really cool good job

Sweet piece of silver! :occasion14:

Awe, To bad your clad streak was ruined by that lousy piece of silver !
