It snowed all morning and rained all afternoon to make up for it today. Around 03:30 PM a big hole opened up and the sun came out. I have not been out all week so I changed cloths and was off work at 04:00 PM. Detected a field between soldiers barracks, it was full of junk. About 15 minutes into the hunt a storm blew in and it started to rain, I stuck it out for another 30 minutes getting soaked in the process. The XT70 needed a bath anyway and my boots and gloves are nice and clean. Good thing I stayed because I found an American clad dime, two nickels and lots of junk. Was good to get out on 8 February as it should be frozen solid now. After a hot shower I feel like doing it again but will probably watch some BS on TV. HH, Mike

I'd take those hunting conditions right now, Mike. Snow and frozen here.

At least it wasn't a total wash out for you.

This rain, snow, rain, sun, then rain again SUCKS. I know exactly what you mean. I plan to go out tomorrow.. if the temp is in the 40s, thats good enough. I don't get too wet in the woods. I need to do some scouting myself. Happy Hunting!

Winter is the pits, Fossis........................

Yep. Waiting on warmer temps here too! :-X
But if you can get out just for a few minutes it seems to sooth the nerves!

;)

at least you got out for a few,we are snow bound here in indiana.

peace,bigrig

Mike, dig while you can. The ground is solid here in PA and I don't have a jack hammer.

Great finds!!!
