Though I've never used the DD coils, I've read they are better. I want a coil for trashy areas that my 950 can't seperate, but don't know if I want to give up depth. Will the 6x10 seperate trash as well as the 4x6? How much depth will I give up with the smaller coil? I'd like to get both, but can only do one right now. Most coins I find now are up to 4, maybe 5 inches. I'd like to find the 7-10" coins in OLD trashy parks, etc. . Thanks for any input.

For most areas the 6X10 will serve you best. That being said the little guy is the best trash picker going. I have and use them both.

I have & use both, I find that in my soil the 4x6 gets almost the same depth as the 6x10 but not quite. Both are very good but the 4x6 is a snap to pin point with simply because it is smaller. I have been trying to decide what coil I could replace my 6x10 with for more depth. Like today I was hunting a park that has been hit hard & with the 4x6 I went along the edge of the sidewalk trigger forward & found a ring & some quarters that had been missed.

Any more I use the 4x6 unless I am hunting a new area that I want to search fast, I then put on the 6x10 because it covers more ground. You can swing either one quite fast & still get good signals.

Thanks guys, I think I'm leaning toward the 4x6, I have a couple real trashy places that I want to get through.

my first choice would be the 6x10dd then #2 be the 4x6dd, just got my spectra v3 today in the mail, came with the xmas value pack the bullseye II pinpointer, carryall bag and choice of 1 coil for $99.00, but the 6x10dd is not one of the choices, so im going with the 4x6dd. just have to buy the 6x10dd later.

I did the same deal on my Spectra V3 package, but chose the 950 concentric for the Santa Pack coil. Bought the 6 x 10 DD for V3 as an add-on.
