Went out today in it was cold and coat of ice on everything but had to get a little hunt on glad I did. 1880 Indian 2 1914 wheats a 1940 wheat a buffalo nick that's toast and under a log I found this clay pipe bowl great day I would say

I hope you have the bowl in the center of a display...that is beautiful! What did you find that caused you to dig there?
 

this was about 10 feet from where i found a flying eagle cent last year now i am moving logs and brush to get to areas i couldnt hunt

That is a Seneca trade pipe, circa early 1700s from Seneca, NY. I know this because I have two very similiar to it. The settlers would trade goods to the indians in return for such pipe. Great Finds!
