5" DD for omega 8000

My brother got me a 5" DD coil for my omega 8000 for christmas, i think its a greek type. is this still usable in the USA ?and how could one tell by looking at it ?

Hey warden. When they mention "greek" series of teknetics detectors, they mean the coil will work on either the alpha, gamma, delta or omega detectors (ones with greek names). I just bought one for my omega and took me a heap of forums to get what "greek" they were referred to. The greek series 5" dd will work great on the omega in those trashy sites. From my reading it hits about as deep as the 10" concentric.
