I am having a great week. 5 more rings from the lake. All of them at the water's edge. The middle one has some interesting markings. Maybe someone can help? ms & s, 18, imperial crown, cats face..... Oh yea...the name engraved is "lucky!"

Nice bunch of finds. Your description sounds like British hallmarks. The cats face is a Lion which would be the mark for London. the ms-- is the makers mark and the 18 is 18k.

That lake of yours is simply amazing. It's nonstop jewelry. I know you told us that there's a lot of trash there too, but I'd dig all the junk to score that many pieces of jewelry.

Is there any competition in your hunting areas, or are you the only one detecting there?

I do have some competition. The lake has been around since the 50's and I think that we are all blessed that there have been lots of targets deposited every summer. I think the difference between myself and some of the others is that I hunt in the all metal mode. Since I KNOW there is jewelry, I pull it all. The fact is, I think because the past 2 years I have been pulling the trash out, I am reaping the benefits and finally hitting the heavier jewelry that is deeper that had trash on top of it masking the good stuff.
