Got to hit the new place in midland va before leaving for the beach on thursday which added a few more .52 cal's to the finds from the site so far and some melted lead which I showed the owner of the property there are two clear bullet halfs in the lead ,so the count is 5 dropped so far. I will update with finds from this site later on in the next two weeks ,the owner told me he found a horse's watering bit and a horshoe grown into a tree he cut down in a swell in the front yard ...so might be a C.W camp
After the wife insisted the Huricane Earl wasnt going to be bad we decided to head to the beach for the weekend .After arriving in 30 mph wind gust it did indeed settle down ,so I was geared up to do some swinging on the beach saturday morning but to my displeasure when I got to the beach which is normally about 40 feet wide and about half a mile long I was like where did the beach go
, it seems Earl had some pretty rough waves , but I did manage one silver ring and back at the camp site playing around with the xlt I found a 1916 wheat penny at about 8 inches which really has me itching to go back there ....
