Hey everyone , thought id take a moment or two and post my finds from the weekend and this afternoon . This past weekend I hooked up with DHD , I had a long list of researched sites . The day started kind slow on the door knocking , cold out windy as all get out and after 1 polite no and 7 no answers I finally got us into a large farm 500 plus acres , the owner said the house was built during the Civil War and his family has resided there since then . After breaking out the machines we stepped foot on the field and I took about three steps and scored a nice eyeball find first arrow head of the year . DHD broke right and I headed straight and scored 1 .58 cal fired . After about three hours we decided to call it as it was snowing a little and to windy . We kind of missed out but will be heading back , as our map was missing about 1 inch which had the back of the property which held two 1800's homsites and a skirmish site , so now we know which way to head out in the 500 plus acres. After a semi productive hunt I decide to try it for about 2 hours on sunday at a different site and when the wind actually blew my shovel out of my hand I called it after 1 musket ball . Sooooo I had a few hours after to work today and was close by one of my ole trusty sites and just by chance had my new at pro with me ... My afternoon started off finding a hand full of .58 cals a couple dropped and decide to move out of the bullet area and over to the edge of the field , so as I was swinging along i hit a solid 80 on the at 4 inches so I was thinking tin can so I flipped the plug and nothing dug down a little further and caught signal on the pinpointer ,so when I got down to 12 inches I saw that beautiful green that you just know is something good then out came a nice US Box Plate. So totals 6 .58 cals , 1 musket ball , 1 harness buckle , 1 arrow head and 1 US BOX PLATE ! Thanks for looking !
