These are 6 little nickels...put in the regular sized nickel for comparison.

pretty small for a detector to pick up....found the 1899 at 15 inches.

Wow....... congrats on the finds and that machine must set the grass on fire to putting out that kinda juice. From what I hear the T2 and F75 pretty well rule the roost on depth for the single frequency machines. Sure have been wanting one just haven't dropped the hammer on one yet. :notworthy:

Awsum machine.. if the coil goes over it---you find it !!!!

I have read some bad reviews on the F75 and I totally don,t understand it.

IF IF IF IF IF... the machine is set and used correctly its a awsum machine that is not noisy at all.

I run it wide open in ALL METAL MODE ..BOOST AND 99 SENSITIVITY.

You must give the machine a chance ....which means YOU must learn how to operate it.

I LOVE IT.. and have given it a real workout... probably 150-200 hrs on it and half that time in the rough woods...it is a very light machine---but make no mistake about it..it IS NOT FRAGILE... I,m not easy on gear !!!!

But if you run it wide open ...you must GB it quite regularly...which is very easy..just pump the coil.

I can,t even wear anything from the waste down with metal on it....hard time finding pants.and the pinpointer I gotta carry over my shoulder with my shovel or hold it behind my back.
Great thing about it is ..you can miss a target by quite a bit but yet still get a signal that will entice you to swing in that direction again which gives you a good margin for error on your swing and wider coverage.

BTW...I,m not a salesman...and not a experienced detectorist....at it for 6 months but loving it.

That's a good bunch of 5 cent Silvers for a year (or half of a year) Congrats. I just got my first one of the year not long ago. I'm sure many were lost due to size, surprising is not so many are found ? probably also because of size. Do they sink out of range, or do many people not dig them for often having a smaller signal than most (bigger) coins ?

Got to say I don't understand why F75 LTD is noiser in DISC, than in AM mode. you'd think (or I do) because being a bit more sensitive in that mode it would be the other way around ??

PS I named mine Black Beauty

Yes Rick

It is kind odd that it works that way...I,ve tried using it in discrim mode....I just can,t do it.!!!!

I find it too noisy and hence slows down my hunt significantly as I,m continually checking out all the beeps that are not hits..just noise.

Maybe it is because ALL METAL MODE is what I got used to when learning the machine.

AND... in DISCRIM mode I get lot more high number hits that are nails or highly corroded iron....but in the ALL METAL...they will bounce around from low to high so I don,t dig them as I know what they are...but in DISCRIM they will show a high number that doesn,t bounce from high to low.

And the ALL METAL IN BOOST is the most powerfull mode.

Also....when in ALL METAL MODE...the detector seems to pick out the good signals from the trash just fine..I have yet to find anything in a junk pile that DISCRIM mode would pick up and NOT THE ALL METAL MODE.

I,m a newb..so dunno if this makes sense

another thing to note the nickel 5 cent pieces begun in 1922, if you happen to find a 1921 fish scale ,we'll see you up on the banner, it will be a real winner of a find

AH YESSS..

I read something about that...........them lil fishscales are a tiny thing to find.

But ..I can,t seem to find a silver coin now...found quite a few at the start of the summer...now can,t find a single silver at all...

I got 19 silvers so far.

Wow! Nice collection of finds! Got to love the nickels!

first time I hit a beach with my own detector, found a 1922 nickel (full of holes from rolling around the beach for gawt knows how many years)......dammit, missed er by a year!

I was going to be the "stickler" and point that stuff out, glad you (IH) beat me to it.
AQUA don't worry about it, that's how it goes, not everyday has Silver, but some days have more.

Keep on digging.

Good luck out there.
