About two weeks ago I discovered a new school to hunt in. The school appears to be built around 1930, so I figured that it might be a good place for some older stuff. Last weekend I dug out two silver dimes from the back baseball filed. This weekend on Friday and Saturday I decided to try the school front grass area. The front of the school was absolutely loaded with coins and targets. Working the area for a total time of 7 hours I dug out 15 wheat pennies, 2 mercury dims, 2 silver Roosevelt dimes, and 2 silver war nickels! Total coins was close to 100! All the older coins were between 6 and 7 inches deep. I just kept going over the same area sweeping my coil from multiple directions. It's amazing what you miss on the first 3 passes when they are deep. I'll be back at it next weekend!
