Definitely not your average curb strip. Deepest was 7 inches the rest 5 ish. Couple of 20s pennies. Silver fty 9-14. Finally surpassed 100 mercs total (102). Never thought back in 2014 I'd ever manage 100. And yes, I did scratch the qtr, doh

Two were close by, but they were scattered throughout the curb strip.

Wow! Beat My record! Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Congratulations your record of mercs is outstanding
My grandparents were from Ellsworth KS and I sure would love to get back and metal detect and go fishing again for the nice channel cats using that polecat sponge stinkbait

Crazy good curb strip! Your silver totals got a real nice bump!

Hey alb1, can you take a picture of a "curb strip" at some point please? I've literally never hunted a curb strip so I'd like to see what you see. I realize it's the grass between the curb and the sidewalk - but do you detect just any curb strip, or are there certain characteristics you look for? (Parking meters, benches for sitting...)

And while I'm asking questions, does anyone every give you a hard time for detecting a curb strip? I have to imagine it's one of the most visible and attention-grabbing places to detect.

Thanks,
Brian

Thanks. The home itself was built 1912 and the dump next door is 1904. Im hoping there is more to discover.

Ill post one soon.

Congrats on your nice batch of silvers.

How wide/long was the strip?

Great silver day
