Good day gents,
I found 2 bullets yesterday on a brief exploration of a farm situated less than a mile from a CW skirmish.
The placards farmhouse written and oral history only tells of 2 Confederate soldiers who hid nearby until the battle of Gettysburg was over.
So finding 2 bullets so far in a short exploratory trip has me wondering when civilians had access to burton/minie balls? Or if they are CW?
One is a hard impact. The second is more intact though half is deformed from impact.
Measurements:
.607" DIA (Rough)
1.013" Length (tip blunted)
.456" hollow base
Modern or CW?
