Nice finds! I too have found that war nicks are getting difficult to come across- just in the last year or two averages have gone way down for me as well

Are those die cracks on the war nickel!

likin' that '61 A BUNCH---very few have steps---that save is worth a few bucks to an amateur collector. the beaver tails are worth SQUAT :BangHead:. same for the Swiss Helvetica. still getting avg 2 war nics per box. sold a '45-S today for $2.99, XF-AU with mint luster. the Buffs & "V"'s seem to be hibernating in the dead tree leaves, not one in 3 boxes :BangHead::BangHead:. proofs & errors are also gittin' scarce :dontknow:

Didn't have a single find from the mwr this time, all the finds were from cwr. Wish I could average 2 war nickels per box. Also I found more buffalo nickels in this hunt than I did all year, I've done around 50 boxes worth and have a total of 7. HH, Zach.

The Canadians are worth a little more than squat- they're almost pure nickel compared to US coins. Depending on the market they're worth significantly more than face. You can check, but I think it's Canadian nickels before 1982 that are pure nickel.

Thats the only reason a keep the pre 82 Canadian nickels. There is no way I'd keep every Canadian I find, there are way too many here in Michigan plus the newer ones are worth nothing. HH, Zach.

Yeah, if I can't spend them, I sell my Canadians at about 1/2 face value in batches. It sucks but I find a bunch in the coin machines, which is like free money.
