got out for 5 hours today, not much but an odd looking lead thingy that weighs about 3 lbs. it looks like a ramrod tip but I think it is a duck weight but why that heavy ?, 4lbs of sinkers lots of nails and barbed wire, a couple of iron lieces from ? felt good in the water.

I'm Sure Glad that I'm not the Only one that has found over 4 pound of lead In one Hunt Its a Pain to haul out sometimes!!! Mine are 8 to 16 oz sinkers a find allot of the Smaller ones also!!!!! As I say Helping to Clean Up the Environment One Dig at a time

I have about 20 Pounds Of lead right Now And Am thinking Of Selling It to The Local Guys Fishing!!! for about Half of what they pay at the Store!!!! Chug pays for the Park fees!!!!

That's a good haul for 5 hours work Tim! :icon_thumright:

I have about 500 lbs of sinkers now, chug. there's good stuff out there, just got to keep swinging.

I would be thrilled with find all of that lead. We make our own sinkers and I will melt it down and make new sinkers.

In case your interested the local scrap metal place here gives 53 cents a pound for lead. that adds up quick I save every one I find

I can melt it myself and make divers weights or bullets and get alot more than .53 a pound. I wish I had a shot mold, so I could make soft weights. and reload my own shotgun shells. oh well maybe later.
