7-7-07 IS a "lucky" day!
So I go to a field this morning where I've NEVER pulled out any "goodies" only scrap metal and junk.... Why I even bothered going back today was I had that "feeling" we all get like 'today is the day.' The first sign of trouble was my batteries were low, but I was only planning on being out for an hour or less when the "chattering" started so I ignored it. I was just walking around haphazardly with no particular pattern or plan. Then I got a really LOW signal like you have mufflers over your ears and you hear a thud twenty feet away or something. I started digging and BOOM --- out pops my first ever ring. Mind you it's a very small false gold ring with a small "diamond" chip in it. Probably something like you'd see a child wearing. It was rusted in spots and corroded so I knew right away it wasn't real, but boy what a rush! I can't believe how a few more minutes out there might have separated me from my first ring find....
