Hi everyone!! Got out and about to my secret spot all day yesterday. What a beautiful day it was!! Nabbed many goodies, including a few surprises!! Got silver coin no. 70!! YAY!!

Fridays totals: well-worn/near-slick 1892 Barber quarter (only my second; found sandwiched between two '20s wheats), '07 indian, 2 more bullets (that makes like 50 now.... ::) ), old timey brooch(?), large Tootsietoy car. Not pictured are 10 wheats (including a '19 found only an inch and a half deep!!), a '75 Canadian cent, and a little over $5 in clad.

As the thread title states, I've now dug 70 silver coins in the 7 months that I've had my E-Trac. I'm not sure if I'll be able to break the 100 silver coin milestone this year, but it will sure be fun trying!!

Any info on the brooch/pin and/or the Tootsietoy car (such as age, etc.) would be greatly appreciated. The Tootsietoy car is a little larger than others I've dug, and both it and the brooch/pin were found very deep (somewhere between 7-9").

Pics below. As always, enjoy!! ;D

PS- Does anyone know what type/model of car the Tootsietoy is modeled on/supposed to represent?? This might help date it. Thanks.

WTG on all those goodies Paul. I almost always find those
old toy cars completely intact including the wheels, that's
when things were made to last. grats on #70 silver, 1 year
away from the seated, won't be long and you'll find some
of those.

Hi Rich. I already have 1 seated coin. I found an 1875 seated dime earlier this year. It is my oldest silver coin found so far, and the only seated coin I've found to date.

Yeah!

Go look at the tootsie toy site, might find that one there. That pin looks familiar. Very close to the one I got this year with a big red thing in the middle of it.

Great hunting Paul!

Congrats on 70 Paul! You should reach and surpass that milestone next year with a full season and some experience under your belt.
