Had a really fun hunt yesterday at a park I've been hitting with a 10k gold 1942 class ring, a 1906 Indian and a 1941 Merc. So I went back to the same park this morning to see if I could repeat the magic. I've hunted it a few times and it's been starting to dry up a little so I kept my expectations low and just wanted one or two nice keepers. So I get out there a little before 6:30 am. 5 minutes later BEEP and out comes a beautiful silver pendant with two heart design. WOOT I thought, this made my hunt already! But little did I know more silvers were coming. 15 minutes later I saw a glint of silver in the hole and BOOM Merc! I washed it off later and it turned out to be 1939. Then 30 minutes later an iffy signal right next to what sounded like iron on the Deus. BOOM 1947 silver quarter! Then another iffy signal was a 1961 Rosey on the side. A few beeps later and out popped a 1942 "P" war nickel (Deus loves these and they ring up in the mid to high 70's so I dig them looking for Indians.) On the way back to the car I ran into a string of 4 or 5 wheat pennies and then got one more signal I thought was another wheat. It was a 1920 Merc! That ended my morning hunt and after spending the afternoon out with my wife I had an extra hour to hunt in the evening, so topped off the day with a return trip for some old wheats and a 1951 Canadian dime. It was a really fun day!
