Been having cabin fever this last week so I decided to head out on Sunday morning at 7:30am.
Had no place in mind so I headed West...About 20 minutes into the trip I decided I was going to head to
West Chicago. Well I then changed that to Lowbatts's counrty... Gave him a shout but he had things to do so.
( Thanks Tim for the heads up spot. )
I hit the street tear up by him...
As I first drove up to it I saw a guy out there already...At first I asked if he was Mayo? but he wasn't..
His name was Mike...Not a Tnet member so I told him about it....
Lots of clad dimes and quarters and a few wheats....I left after a couple hours...
My journey then took me back to the old 1890's house in Hinsdale.. Just maybe the fence wasn't put up yet.
Got there and No Fence....Cool....
15 minutes into the hunt the skies opened up to a steady pour of rain for 15 minutes.
I got my first silver about 5 minutes later, a1939 Merc.
Hunted a bit when I went over to a pile of dirt. I scanned this pile in the past couple hunts but this time I got a weird
signal and decided to have a look.
2 inches in the pile of dirt was a coin standing straight up on end....
It started to pour rain again so I took cover...
Saw that it was an IH but I couldn't see the date
10 minutes later I got the date and it turns out to be my oldest IH 1880 in beautiful shape.
( my oldest before was several 1881's )
Left to go drive around and found 2 Electric Scooter's in the garbage.. charger's and all... My daughter is having a blast with riding them .....There was a pile of stuff out there but I just grabbed the scooter's... The house had to be a Million $ + home...
I need to go garbage picking there more often..
Thanks for looking and HH
