8" artillery round found
Wow is what I can say today and what a scare to. I started my new job about 2 weeks ago at a junk yard in Omaha area. I usually pick up stuff and look around for goodies that other just bring in for scrap. Today was just like every other day NOT till I saw this. When I did see it, yes I about ran but I decided to look into it. I called my nephew up and tell him the new and then he called his dad which is a old Army artillery soldier in the day. After about 30 minutes of phone calls we decided to take it out and keep for outselves as a gift. We found out that it was a old artillery round and was no longer a threat and the funny part was no one in the yard knew what it was because they never saw one before. So this was the first and I hope the last but you'll never know.
