the weather finally subsided and the hunt was resumed in earnest. found a nice 10k class ring and a load of other stuff. the bottom left I think was a tool for installing or repairing caulking on wooden ships. a very strange cartridge some bullets, musket balls,a very old buckle, a new stainless steel buckle from a lifejacket,8 lbs of sinkers,a fishing lure and some odd iron parts.

:icon_thumright: nice little ring

thanks, if I can't find old coins or really old artifacts gold is the next best thing.

happy hunting to all.

Nice ring, looks small enough to be a ladies. Any initials to help ID and possible return?

big A yes it is a girls ring and not only initials but a full name. the school is about 25 miles away and as soon as I get the book finished I will go down and talk to the school officials to see if the girl is still around. the last school ring I found we could not match up a girl with the ring, even though initials were engraved as well as the year and the name candy was cast into the outside. this one has patty cast outside and her full name engraved inside. should be a no brainer.

nice ring and neat relics!!!
wtg!!
