Years ago I killed a bear using a muzzle loading rifle. I ate the critter, but didn't like the meat, so never killed another one. But I did make a bear claw necklace using his claws.

In this necklace, there are blue "Crow Beads," and the three white Padre beads that I found when I was a kid.

Above there are two of the Padres I found, and the large blue beads are the ones called Crow Beads. I'm sure those crow beads came from Africa. The smaller blue Pony beads are modern, the bear claws are real.

Above shows more of the Crow Beads. The next necklace is, except for the Padre beads at the end, totally fake.

The Pony beads are modern, and the Lewis and Clark beads are modern knock offs of the original beads, and the bear claws are fake, they are Hollywood prop claws, the same as used in "Dances With Wolves." I won that necklace in a muzzle loader shooting match, and I added the Padre beads to it would fit over my head. I show it so you can see the chances you have of getting screwed if you buy beads. The new ones can be put into a tumbler and aged, so be careful.
The last two pictures are close ups of the fakes.

Above there is also a fake French Ambassador bead. Next is a real Lewis and Clark on the right, and a real French Ambassador on the left.

You now have everything I can remember about glass trade beads.
