Got out today with Rick NS for a short hunt, the first site, an orchard just produced a Montana and an Hawaiian quarter so we moved on to site #2. This was a large field that had an old house on it that burned around the turn of the 19th century. We picked up some good targets including 2 x King George II, broken trigger guard, horse bit, Conibear trap and few other goodies.
Going to try something different tomorrow, hopefully something very special.
Thanks for looking,
ZDD

That's an interesting array of goodies, and span quite a few years. You had a nice hunt! Good luck on the return!

Probably wasn't the mother lode you were looking for Dave, but 2 KGs makes for a very successful hunt. When are you guys getting back in the water?

Nothing wrong with those KG II's...sure there will be more silver under your coil before the big freeze...

That was a great hunt.Congrats.HH.

Nice to dig old coppers and know you're in the right spot. I cleaned one of those old traps up and it pretty much would work again.

No, it wasn't the mother load but I know the goodies have to be here somewhere. We still have a few sites that we haven't even touched due to the crops not being harvested and boy do they have potential. Persistance is one thing I find that always works, it just takes a little time.

I hit the water a few times last week but it wasn't as good as I hoped for. First place I dove was in a river that ran beside a 18th Century Tavern but I didn't turn up anything. Visablity was about 2 feet at best so the going was slow.
The next dive was on Sat. in a small black water lake to look for a GoPro camera that a freind had lost, visablity here was less then a foot and most of the time zero. Unfortunately I didn't locate the camera.
A couple of my buddies got out to the wreck this weekend and managed up a silver shoe buckle and a silver coin plus some other goodies. Its too bad I couldn't make it out with them, the weather here was perfect.
We will soon start bottle diving again, I will post our finds in the Today's finds forum when that starts.
Looks like you and Dan are off to a good start this year, all the best there Bill.
