Love the little lady bug buckle! Nice buttplate too,looks to be in great shape!
 

that other little buckle, i have dug a few of those, but this one was pretty deep and under a huge tree root. yeah i had a hell of a time digging that one out. It was giving off a nice deep solid hit, the kind you would get on a 7inch half dollar,.. i dig down 5 inches and theres a huge root.
had to make a spackle bucket sized hole to get it out. i was thinking those buckles were from about 1900, but this one was there much longer i think.
 

Nice iron buttplate (possibly Enfield?) & your bug piece is part of a suspender clip..........it's sure a different one! Haven't seen one like it!
 

Like the butt plate, The lady bug is cool also.
