Dad and I finally got out together today to metal detect after more than 26 years, it was a good time. He showed me some spots that he'd kept under his hat all these years, three different areas in town that previously had houses on them, built in the 20's and leveled in a flood (very trashy ground). All that remains are huge trees. We got a few wheat pennies, shortly before we left I got a nice clean sounding hit that was a solid 89 on my id, I was skeptical of it being silver, but of course im going to dig it..it turned out to be a cool, very old silver thimble, fun times!
