A Couple Beach Finds.

Sorry for the poor photos, but the old camera is MIA, so I had to use the phone camera.

I went out last evening and found these items. I found another homemade sinker, a couple clad, and another washer. Now, these finds where at a totally different beach, but again with the washer and sinker, lol. The metal pieces are iron that have sluffed off of something and washed ashore. Two of them I spotted on top of the sand and thought they might be coins, but nope.
Also a bottle bottom


There was also this little stone. It has those little crystal pieces all around it. Coral maybe?


This "Glyco-Thymoline" bottle I found when walking back and kicked it up out of the sand.
It was a type of mouth wash back in the '20's.


Hope to get out again, but the skeeters.....WOW, they're bad!!!! I saw one drinking permethrin right out of the bottle, with no ice. Crazy-ness.

I really can't see your photo with the crystal pieces, but coral doesn't grow crystals. Animal, plantal, and calcium carbonate skeletons. Unless it is alien with a crystal skeleton.

I pulled it up with a scoop while searching a hit. It's solid rock and is totally covered with reflective particals. I'm gonna take it to the local marine biology guy. He might know. Each partical is a different color and they seem to be, somewhat, similar in size and shape.

So, any word yet on this? It does sorta look like coral. I suppose that cavities in fossilized coral could have had crystals form in them. Interesting. Now that I can see it a little better.
