With this mid-winter thaw we're having, I took a buddy out detecting at a site we had some luck at in the past, I had found a sterling beauty accessory of some sort and he had found a crotal bell.
I'm not sure what type of buckle this is, or what it was used for but it's in great shape and appears to be brass. The comb is certainly interesting, I immediately thought who would have been wearing it before it was lost in the ground for so long.
Any thoughts on the type of buckle this might be are certainly welcome. Thanks!
