The ground in my parts is frozen harder than a set of woodpecker lips. I enjoy reading old papers in my down time in search of treasure leads. Here are a few I have found that are well out of my search range. I was hoping someone would find them useful. And please don't forget old Stu if you happen to capitalize from them. LOL. Most of them are old stories of cache found. But, where there is one, there is ususally another. enjoy!

Thanks, those were good stories. What method did you use to do the search? Or did you just go through old papers? Sometimes I search for one thing, then find others, and sometimes even forget what my original search was about!

NICE leads. I'd be interested in hearing about what method you use in your research as well.

Guys,

Head down to your local library. If you live in a small town got to a bigger town, as their libraries seem to have more resources. Their are lots of newspapers available on microfilm. It takes time, but you get good at scanning the headlines and picking out the treasure leads.

I posted a couple other leads in the "Treasure Leads" section of the forum. They did not seem to be cache stories, so I put them there. There is one post about a big gold robbery in San Francisco at the turn of the century. It didn't seem like the posts in the Treasure Leads section were getting many hits. So I thought I would let you guys know so you could check them out.
