A Couple of my Interesting CRH Finds This Week (with pictures)

Last week I found this Nebraska state quarter with the QUA in QUARTER missing. Could this be a coin error or is it altered?



I've been finding a lot of small broadstriked dimes. Are these worth anything? How often do you find them?



Another thing I found this week was a 2011 uncirculated half dollar. I heard these are only made for mint sets. How much is it worth?



My best find this week was a silver 1961 Canadian dime that I found while searching through American dimes. I don't know how rare these are or what they are worth.

I'll help you out as much as I can here. This reminds me of the days when I started CRHing. the first few months I would keep anything that looked strange or even potentially valuable. Some of these it turned out were worthwhile, but some got dumped back at the bank eventually. like all my pre 1960 nickels haha.

The dime is your best find here I think. That one's silver, 80%. probably worth melt or so, maybe $3 is a fair guess.

The 2011 Half Dollar: these are only worth a premium if you want to put your time into collecting and selling them. I've gotten boxes nearly full of these NIFCs (Not Intended for Circulation) and I threw them all back. IF you want to turn a profit, your best bet is to collect the entire NIFC series and sell them as sets. so a single coin? not worth much, maybe 60cents. If you put it into a set you may be able to get 75cents per coin.

Broadsided rosies: I find these all the time, not worth anything

State quarter error: looks like a greased die. I see people trying to get $15 for 'em on ebay but I don't know if many of them are selling. yours looks better than theirs so who knows maybe you can get $10-$20. The market I think for this type of coin is tough though. I'm the least knowledgeable on this coin out of all so don't take my word on this
