Thats an interesting spearhead. We discussed bronze age spearheads some time ago here, especially the mount on the shaft. This one seems to have a type i've not seen before. Must be easy to date by the archies. Same goes to the axehead (in fact it's a hatchet). Looks like a changeover piece from a flat axe to the flanged style and makes it to one of the oldest types if it is bronze. This type dates to the transition from copper to bronze age. In middle europe between 2700BC - 1800BC. I would check if it's bronze or copper, the thick belly makes me think....

If it's what i think Banner is a no brainer, and even a complete bronze flat axe is a Banner find in my books.

Concerning that Photo on the left. Could that possibly be the top of a hand carried flag pole? I have seen flag poles with similar tops. Perhaps I am wrong.

Thanks for the interesting info. l was very pleased to find them , they wont qualify for the banner as they are from late last year, Hutch..
