I found these in an old coin box of my mothers boyfriend. One looks like some kind of a medal. It says Levi P. Morton with his profile on the front , the back says Inaugurated Governor of New York Jan 1st 1895. The other looks like the Jefferson Peace Medal from what I have been able to find but the back has "Oregon Historical Society Incorporated December 17th 1898. He was close to 70 when he died and from the other stuff in the box I am guessing these are both original.

The jefferson medal is a copy of the original that the Historical Society adopted.
The original was given to society in very bad ... basically mangled condition...
a railroad survey crew found the medal sometime in the 1880s,
