Hi....North Yorkshire near the Northeast Coast

Re: A couple of very nice finds

Great finds!!! Great pictures!!! Beautiful countryside, but W A Y TOO MUCH SNOW!!! Looks like Korea, up north.
I have never found any of those old European coins, but have found a couple of Chinese coins that dated into the ten hundreds.....always
a thrill.....but the chinese were not as imaginative as the Europeans......just Chinese characters which stated which king it was, + "beautiful
money," or "valuable money."
Thanks for posting ...... some of what all of us want to find.

Wow, I know you've heard this before but I'll say it again...I am soooo jealous of you you guys over there. I can't even imagine the feeling of digging up a coin or anything else for that matter that was made 1800 years ago. Thank you very much for sharing your finds with us.

Re: A couple of very nice finds

I hope things improve for you. After a good Jan, we are going to have a difficult few months ahead. No good fields left until harvest.

I like the black patination on that coin, I prefer it to the shinny silver. The Geta below came out similar, no idea how some come out like it & others clean, specially from the same field :icon_scratch:
